Swift Creek-Regency Parkway Pedestrian Improvements Project
This project will enhance pedestrian access to Symphony Lake. Currently, the Swift Creek Greenway runs from Kildaire Farm Road to Regency Parkway, a distance of .38 miles, without a safe way to access Symphony Lake. The proposed trail segment will begin where the current Swift Creek Greenway terminates at Regency Park and extend across Swift Creek, crossing at the signalized crossing at Regency Parkway and Ederlee Road. A 76-foot pedestrian bridge will be constructed adjacent to Regency Parkway, where it crosses over Swift Creek.
The Regency Parkway/Ederlee Drive Sidewalk Project includes the design of sidewalk on the east side of Ederlee Drive from Peregrine Place to Regency Parkway. Design of pedestrian signals and ramps as well as new sidewalk on the west side of Regency Parkway from Ederlee Drive north about 400 feet and over the existing Regency Parkway Bridge is also included to provide safer and more efficient pedestrian connectivity in the Regency Park area.
