The Higgins Greenway is a .4 mile trail that is composed of crushed stone and natural surface.  The trailhead is located on Danforth Drive off of West Chatham Street.  The trailhead is located across the street from the neighborhood recreation area.  This trail runs down to Maynard Road but parking is suggested along Danforth Drive due to to traffic along Maynard Road.  Higgins is one of Cary's oldest greenways and it has excellent Old Growth Trees along the trail that provide for cooler temperatures during the summer months.

Directions: From Maynard Road turn onto West Chatham going Northeast.   Turn right onto Danforth Drive.  The trailhead will be on the right side of the road across from the neighborhood tennis courts.  Parking for this trail is along the side of Danforth Road.
