RAILHAWKS FALL SEASON UNDERWAY

US Women's National Team vs Switzerland

The U.S. Women’s National Team match against Switzerland on Wednesday, Aug. 20, at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, North Carolina, is sold-out. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET and fans can watch the game live on ussoccer.com and also follow on Twitter @ussoccer_wnt and @ussoccer_esp.

The USA’s first match at WakeMed Soccer Park since the expansion to its current 10,000 capacity and the first sellout for the U.S. Women at this venue will also be the first meeting between the countries at the women’s senior level. 

Switzerland is one of six nations that have already qualified for the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup where it will join host Canada. Switzerland has won European Group 3 with one match left to play in qualifying, taking 25 points from nine games with an 8-0-1 record, ahead of Iceland and Denmark. The achievement marks the first time Switzerland has qualified for a Women’s World Cup at the senior level.

SUMMER SPORTS CAMPS REGISTRATION IS OPEN

Beginning June 16 through August 15 eight weeks of half day sports camps in soccer, lacrosse and  running will be offered at WakeMed Soccer Park, Mills Park and Middle Creek School Park. COLLEGE CUPS SLATED TO RETURN TO WAKEMED SOCCER STADIUM IN 2014 and 2015


The NCAA announced they've chosen WakeMed Soccer Park as a site of future NCAA Championship events. The Town of Cary and Campbell University will team up to host the 2014 NCAA Division I Men's Soccer College Cup and the 2015 Division I Women's Soccer College Cup. Read more.

WAKEMED CROSS COUNTRY COURSE IS A GREAT PLACE FOR YOUR CHARITY 5K RUN/WALK

More and more charity 5K run/walk events are discovering the convenience of utilizing the WakeMed Cross Country Course to host their fundraisers.  A beautiful course tucked in the woods surrounding the soccer fields, fully contained environment and other amenities including preset courses, restroom facilities, ample parking and a natural unpaved surface provide a great environment for these events.  For more information on renting the course, please contact the staff at WakeMed Soccer Park.  Click here for a complete list of current events schedules.
