BUILDING PERMIT APPLICATIONS, FORMS, and GUIDES CHANGES
In our continuing effort to keep our citizens, customers, and the building community at large informed of updates and changes, the Town of Cary Inspections and Permits Department would like to make you aware of our new applications, forms, and guides that will be available starting March 1, 2012.
Our new applications, forms, and guides help us make your overall building permit application experience quicker, easier, and more effective by collecting more relevant information early on as we work to promote and protect the long-term health, safety, and happiness of our citizens. As always Staff is on hand to help you. Please do not hesitate to ask them for assistance.

Use to request electrical utility service prior to the issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy. | ||

Licensing & Insurance |
Use when you intend to self-perform building construction work on a property that you own and that is your primary residence. Requires notarization. | |

Use for all licensed General Contractors when performing work costing $30,000 or more. Requires notarization. | ||

Inspections & Other Forms |
Use for all commercial or residential projects whenever you wish to request an inspection outside of normal inspection hours. | |

Use for all residential new construction projects. The completed form will be picked-up at the job site by your inspector. | ||

Use for all residential HVAC and water heater change outs. To be completed by the contractor and left on-site and available to the inspector. | ||

Express Review is a service that allows for faster examination of most commercial construction plans, including fit-ups and new buildings and is held each week on Tuesdays & Thursdays, with appointments beginning at 1:30 pm. | ||
