Who is our Pharmacy Benefits administrator?

  • Effective July 1, 2010 the Town has contracted with Prescription Benefits, Inc. (also known as RxBenefits) to provide pharmacy benefits administration.
  • RxBenefits partners with Medco in the same manner as BCBSNC, so other than having to provide new prescription benefits information to your pharmacy, you should not experience any disruption.
  • Your BCBSNC health insurance card will have a reference to RxBenefits on the back along with toll-free customer service number.
  • At any time if you have any questions about a prescription, whether it is a new prescription or one with ongoing refills, contact RxBenefits Member Services at 1-800-334-8134. If you are calling after normal hours, you will be redirected to Medco member services.
