GoPass

Good news for Town of Cary employees – you can now ride Triangle Transit and Capital Area Transit buses for free! Have you been looking for a better way to get to work or how to get more time out of your day? Sit back, relax...complete your crossword on the way to work, or take a nap on the way home.

If you are a regular employee of the Town of Cary, you can request your free GoPass that will allow you to ride free of charge to or from work. To request your pass, simply print and complete the application form, and someone from the Planning Department will follow up with you. (As a reminder, Town employees with a Town ID already ride free on C-Tran buses.)

If you have questions about how to get to work by bus, check out GoTriangle.org to find a route near your home or a Park and Ride location that can get you to work more quickly, or call the GoTriangle Regional Information Center at 485-RIDE(7433).

Worried about being stranded if you take the bus? Don’t be! Town of Cary is a participating employer in the Free Emergency Ride Home program. This free program is for days that you get sick or have a family emergency and need to leave or when you need to work unscheduled overtime and can’t catch the bus or carpool. This way you are never stranded or without a ride when you need one. You must register for the Free Emergency Ride Home program in order to take advantage of the benefit.

So beginning right now, you’ll have another great benefit as a Town of Cary employee. Hopefully you will take the time to consider taking the bus to work, another car off of the Triangle roadways, and some of the stress out of your commute.
