Invitation to Bid - Expansion of ATMS Fiber Optic Infrastructure Network

            Sealed proposals will be received by the Town of Cary at the office of the Engineering Department, 316 N. Academy St, Cary, North Carolina until Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. and thereafter immediately opened and read publicly for the furnishing of materials, labor, and equipment for the construction of Expansion of ATMS Fiber Optic Infrastructure Network, Project No. ST1082.  (Approximate quantities involved are or brief project description is) as follows:

± 6,500        Unpaved Trenching Multi-Duct, 1-1/4-Inch (4 Conduits)

± 1,200        Install Multi-Duct, 1-1/4" In 5" Outer-Duct (4 Conduits)

            Plans, Specifications and Contract documents may be viewed electronically at http://townofcary.contractorsplanroom.com upon registering online after February 9, 2012. Hard copies of Plans, Specifications and Contract documents may be viewed at the office of the Director of Engineering, Cary Town Hall, after February 9, 2012.  The following agencies have been notified of the project:  the Associated General Contractors – Raleigh office, McGraw-Hill Construction Dodge, the North Carolina Institute of Minority Economic Development – Durham office, and the CDC News – Cary office after February 9, 2012.

 

            Copies of Plans, Specifications and Contract documents may be obtained after February 9, 2012 online at http://townofcary.contractorsplanroom.com at vendor pricing.  These documents may also be obtained at the office of the Engineering Department, 316 N. Academy Street, Cary, North Carolina, upon receipt of non-refundable payment of $35.00 per set in cash or check.  A postage and handling charge of $15.00 will be added for any items which are mailed.

 

Contractors offering a proposal on this project must be licensed to do the specified type of contracting in the State of North Carolina.  A Town of Cary Privilege License in accordance with North Carolina General Statutes is required for award of the project.  All bids must include a non-collusive affidavit.

 

Each proposal shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Instruction to Bidders.

 

            The Town of Cary reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.
