US 64 Highway Resurfacing

NCDOT TO BEGIN REHABILITATING SECTION OF U.S. 64 IN WAKE COUNTY

RALEIGH —

The N.C. Department of Transportation will begin rehabilitating a 5.5-mile section of U.S. 64 from Ashville Avenue to N.C. 55 in Wake County beginning Monday, April 5, weather permitting.

The $3.1 million contract was awarded to Blythe Construction of Raleigh. Work is scheduled to be completed by September of this year.

Work will include milling and resurfacing. The project contract specifies that work can only be completed from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. and from 7 pm. until 7 a.m., with at least one lane of traffic open at all times.
