Louis Stephens Drive Extension
Overview
The Town of Cary plans to pave and extend the existing gravel roadway known as Old Maynard Road approximately 0.65 miles from Redwood Park Drive Northwest to the Little Drive and Louis Stephens Drive Intersection in Research Triangle Park. (See map).

Details
- Project provides a 2-lane paved roadway from Redwood Park Drive in Morrisville to Little Drive in Research Triangle Park.
- When the project is completed, this roadway will be maintained by the North Carolina Department of Transportation.
- The existing roadway known as Old Maynard Road will be renamed Louis Stephens Drive when paved and extended to Research Triangle Park.
Background
The Town has budgeted a total of $1,866,500 to construct this project. The project will ease congestion in this section of Cary by providing an additional route to Research Triangle Park.
