Share Your Priorities as Cary Develops Fiscal Year 2014 Budget

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
February 1, 2013

Share Your Priorities as Cary Develops Fiscal Year 2014 Budget
For first time ever, comments now accepted via Facebook, Twitter

For the month of February, citizens are encouraged to share their priorities as the Town of Cary begins building its Fiscal Year 2014 Annual Budget, which will identify services and infrastructure projects to be undertaken by the Town from July 1, 2013, through June 30, 2014. New this year, feedback will be considered via the Town’s Facebook page, www.facebook.com/TownofCaryNC and the Town’s Twitter feed, @TownofCary (#TOCbudget). As in the past, citizens can register their budget priorities at their convenience via e-mail at budgetinput@townofcary.org or via voicemail at (919) 469-4307. Citizens may also speak directly to the Cary Town Council at either of two budget public hearings held as part of the February 13 and February 27 regular Town Council meetings; meetings begin at 6:30 p.m. in Council Chamber of Town Hall, 316 N. Academy Street. All comments must be received by February 28, 2013, in order to be evaluated for possible incorporation into the Town Manager’s Recommended Budget, which the Cary Town Council is expected to begin considering this spring. Citizens can review the current year’s budget at www.townofcary.org or in hard copy at the Cary Library in downtown Cary or the West Cary Regional Library.  For more, search “Budget Development” at www.townofcary.org or call (919) 462-3911.
