As Super Bowl Approaches, Cary Reminds Citizens of Year-Round, Curbside Cooking Oil Collection

Cary citizens should be on the offense this Super Bowl weekend and properly dispose of any cooking fats, oils and grease by taking advantage of the Town’s year-round residential cooking oil curbside recycling program. Simply dispose used cooking oil and grease in a sealable food container. Once at least a half-gallon (approximately one, 2-liter soda bottle) is collected, properly label the container and call Public Works & Utilities Customer Service at 469-4090 to schedule a free curbside pickup. Last year, the program saved over 1,200 gallons of fats, oils and greases from entering the Town’s sewer system. Learn more about Residential Waste Cooking Oil Curbside Recycling at www.townofcary.org or call (919) 469-4090.
