CARY, NC – As part of this year’s Martin Luther King Jr. Dreamfest, the artwork of regional artist Jason Franklin will explore a special affinity between African American men and their cars from the 1930s to the 1970s. The free Dream of Expression Exhibit opens January 12 at the Cary Arts Center, 101 Dry Avenue, with an artist’s reception scheduled for 6-8 p.m. January 27.

“Observing Dr. King’s birthday is the opportunity for every American to remember our history through art, music, service and community. We are pleased to honor this tradition annually, and we invite everyone to experience it for themselves,” Town of Cary Cultural Arts Manager Lyman Collins said.
