Town of Cary Returns to Normal Operations

CARY, NC – With the threat of severe winter weather past, the Town of Cary will now host all programs and services on its regularly planned schedule. All facilities will be open as normal, and C-Tran is planned to run as scheduled. All solid waste collections will occur on their designated day, running only on a possible one-hour delay. During this winter storm, there were 34 storm-related traffic accidents, two with non-life threatening injuries, reported in Cary.

“We are winding down our 24-hour operations, and will continue with targeted plowing and spreading efforts where necessary,” said Town of Cary Public Works Director Scott Hecht. “As people return to their regular routine, we ask them to call our Public Works Department with reports of any slick spots.”

This is intended to be the final storm-related news release. Citizens with further concerns or questions should call Public Works and Utilities at (919) 469-4090.
