Another Portion of Cary's White Oak Greenway to Close Temporarily
From June 7-11, 2010, contractors working on behalf of the Town of Cary will conduct warranty related work near the White Oak Pump Station, resulting in the temporary closure of a portion of the White Oak Greenway between NC 55 and the proposed I-540 project. Access to the greenway will also be restricted at Caraway Lane. Work will be conducted between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m., and minimal delays are expected along NC 55 as the contractor unloads equipment and as construction vehicles enter and exit the greenway. The work is necessary as part of the White Oak Interceptor and Pump Station Elimination project. For information on sewer projects, visit www.townofcary.org or call (919) 380-2760.
Please note that the 450-foot central portion of the White Oak Greenway closed in March 2010 remains closed through January 2012 as part of the Triangle Expressway project.
