Shortly after 1 p.m., Town of Cary Police responded to a three-vehicle crash with minor injuries on US 1 near Walnut Street. All southbound lanes are closed and officials hope to clear the crash within one hour; however, extensive delays are expected to last through late afternoon. Northbound traffic on US 1 is experiencing minor onlooker delays. Police are on-scene rerouting traffic, and drivers are asked to avoid the area if possible.
