Sunday's Spring Sertoma Series Adds Jazz to Your Weekend

CARY, NC –  Celebrate Jazz Appreciation Month this Sunday with a performance by the Triangle Youth Jazz Ensemble. Set for 3 p.m. on April 18, 2010 at the Sertoma Amphitheatre at Bond Park, 801 High House Road, Cary, the Triangle Youth Jazz Ensemble will take to the stage with both big band and small combo numbers. This concert is just one of eight free performances scheduled as part of the Spring Sertoma Series.

“Come out and enjoy the talents of area youth in their second performance at the Sertoma stage,” said Sarah Preston, Performing Arts Coordinator. “We encourage everyone to take advantage of the free outdoor opportunities offered though the Sertoma Series.”

The Triangle Youth Jazz Ensemble was formed in 2005 and is one of the Philharmonic Association’s newest group. In case of rain, the concert will be held at the Kiwanis Shelter in Bond Park.
