Spring Sertoma Series Brings Local Performers to Spring Daze

Groups perform as part of Cary’s Spring Daze Arts & Crafts Festival

CARY, NC – Music enthusiasts and art aficionados attending this weekend’s Spring Daze Arts & Crafts Festival will be treated to a unique all-day Spring Sertoma Series performance, Cary Performs. Throughout the day, both at Sertoma Amphitheatre and throughout Bond Park, handfuls of performing groups will entertain crowds.

Cary Performs pulls together some of the leading performance groups within Cary and gives them an opportunity to educate thousands of people about themselves and how others can get involved,” said Sarah Preston, Performing Arts Coordinator. “Should Spring Daze be moved to its Sunday, April 25 rain date, Cary Performs will follow the same rain plan.”

Cary Performs includes the following performance groups and their locations during Spring Daze:
9:20 a.m.        Cary Town Band                                             Sertoma Amphitheatre Stage
10 a.m.           Cary Players                                                  Storyteller Stage
10 a.m.           Cary Ballet                                                     Sertoma Amphitheatre Stage
10:15 a.m.      Triangle Wind Ensemble                                   Four Seasons Sunrooms Stage
10:30 a.m.      Concert Singers of Cary                                    Sertoma Amphitheatre Stage
11 a.m.          Applause! Cary Youth Theatre                           Sertoma Amphitheatre Stage
11:30 a.m.      Filipino-American Performing Artists of NC         Sertoma Amphitheatre Stage
Noon              Philharmonic Association                                  Sertoma Amphitheatre Stage
12:30 p.m.     Cary Players                                                     Storyteller Stage

Remaining 2010 Spring Sertoma Series performances include: Mangum and Company Shout Band on Saturday May 8; SAS Showchoir, VocalMotion on Saturday, May 15; and the Really Terrible Orchestra of the Triangle on Sunday, May 16.
