Arrests Continue in Cary's Weekend Home Invasion

CARY, NC – Just 48 hours after initial arrests made in the May 15 residential burglary, the Town of Cary Police Department continues to apprehend suspects. Dominique Owens, 20, of Big Horn Circle, Cary, has been charged with one count of First Degree Burglary, five counts of Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon and five counts of Kidnapping. If convicted of all charges, he could receive between 220 to 2,117 months or 18 to 176 years in prison. Ana Veronica Sanchez, 17, of Creekwatch Lane, Cary, was also apprehended and charged with Resist, Obstruction and Delay. Both are being held at the Wake County Public Safety Center in Raleigh, NC.
Earlier this week, Cary Police arrested and charged Antonio Robinson Jr, 20, of Cary and Ryan Lomnet Harvey-Green, 20, of Morrisville with five counts of Robbery with a Firearm, five counts of Kidnapping and one count of First Degree Burglary. Stephen Callahan, 19, of Fuquay-Varina, was arrested yesterday and charged with Aid and Abetting Burglary and Aid and Abetting Armed Robbery.
During the overnight hours of May 15, the Town of Cary Police Department responded to a burglary in progress on Buck Jones Road. Upon arrival, it was determined masked suspects gained entry through an unlocked door and were holding six people in the residence at gunpoint. Stolen property included televisions, electronics, video games and cell phones. A victim was taken to WakeMed Cary for treatment for minor injuries sustained during the incident. More arrests are expected as the investigation continues.
To help prevent these types of crimes, the Town of Cary Police Department reminds citizens to:
• Keep all doors locked at all times, including garage doors, doors leading into garages, exterior doors and car doors.
• If installed, activate your home alarm system.
• Be watchful of any suspicious or idling vehicles in residential areas, especially at night.
• Call the police with any suspicions.
