Cary Police Return Missing Girls to Families
CARY, NC – Town of Cary safety officials have located and returned two girls who went missing earlier this afternoon. The girls, Liya Chen and Kaycee Formont, both age 8, were found near Forest Green Road in Cary. Both children have been returned to their families.
Prior to their disappearance, the girls had last been seen at 1 p.m. at Heartwood Montessori School’s playground. Town of Cary Police and Fire Department officials were on-scene, and Wake County assisted with the search. No further investigation is planned.
“We are happy and relieved to safely return these girls to their parents,” said Captain Scott Davis, District 3 Commander for the Town of Cary Police Department.
