With multi-state manhunt underway, Police ask for help
CARY, NC – After exhausting all leads, the Town of Cary Police Department is turning to the public for assistance in locating Kenneth Lamont Taylor, 33, of Durham in the April 10 murder of Jibrael Menelik. Taylor has been charged with First Degree Murder, which is a Class A felony in North Carolina punishable by death or life imprisonment without parole.
Taylor is approximately 5’7” tall, weighs 155 lbs. and has black hair and brown eyes. He should be considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached. He has connections to New Jersey and New York.
“Since a warrant was issued for Taylor’s arrest earlier this month, we have been working around the clock with local, state and federal officials to locate him,” said Town of Cary Police Chief Pat Bazemore. “We look forward to bringing resolution to this case, our community and, most importantly, Jibrael’s family.”
