Collective Work, Responsibility is Theme of 16th Annual Cary Kwanzaa
November 30, 2010
The Town of Cary will again gather for a communal cultural celebration of Kwanzaa on December 28, 2010 from 2-7 p.m. at the Herbert C. Young Community Center. In addition to live performing arts entertainment and children’s activities, there will be a cultural marketplace with a wide variety of unique and handmade arts and crafts. At the center of this family friendly event is Nguzu Saba, or the seven powerful principles derived from African heritage: unity, self-determination, collective work and responsibility, cooperative economics, purpose, creativity and faith. The event is free and no registration is required. For complete details, visit Kwanzaa at www.townofcary.org or call (919) 460-4963.
