Cary's Fun & Fitness Walk to Raise Playground Funds

The 3rd Annual Kids Together Family Fun & Fitness Walk has been scheduled for April 17 from 9:30-11 a.m. at the Marla Dorrel Park, 111 Thurston Drive, Cary. The 1.4 mile round-trip is stroller and wheelchair friendly and follows the Hinshaw Greenway across the US 1/64 pedestrian bridge to the MacDonald Woods Park, where walkers circle back to Marla Dorrel Park. Activities include a bubbles station, KATAL, the Kids Together dragon mascot, and contests for coolest shoes, snazziest wheels, largest group of walkers and funniest hat. Registration is accepted the day of the event only, and the cost is $15 per family or $5 per person. Proceeds will help support the addition of a misting station at the playground.
