Apply Now to Serve On Cary's Zoning Board of Adjustment

November 22, 2010

Make a difference in Cary’s extraterritorial jurisdiction (ETJ), the area for which the Town of Cary has planning and zoning authority that is not within the Town’s corporate limits, by serving as a volunteer on the Zoning Board of Adjustment. The applicant will be selected from Cary’s ETJ and will fill a vacancy with a term expiration of September 30, 2012. Zoning Board of Adjustment volunteers make decisions on variance requests for certain development standards in the Land Development Ordinance (LDO) and hear appeals regarding decisions made by any administrative LDO enforcement official. Applications are available online or by calling (919) 319-4508; applications must be received by 5 p.m. on December 10, 2010.
