Crime Alert- Capital Bank

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
April 1, 2010

– CRIME ALERT –

On Wednesday, March 31, at approximately 4:15 p.m., the Town of Cary Police Department responded to a commercial robbery at Capital Bank, 7705 Carpenter Fire Station Road. While one man waited in a 4-door gray sedan in the bank’s parking lot, two black males wearing masks and wigs entered the business demanding money from employees. After collecting money, the pair returned to the vehicle and escaped. While still under investigation, this incident appears isolated and unrelated to recent bank robberies in Raleigh.

The Town of Cary Police Department seeks help from witnesses in identifying the suspects and their vehicle. Anyone near the area during the time of the robbery is encouraged to contact the Town of Cary Police Department at (919) 469-4324 or Cary Crime Stoppers at 226-CRIM(E). Crime Stoppers pays up to $2,500 for the arrest or indictment of those responsible for committing certain types of crimes. All calls will be kept CONFIDENTIAL at caller's request.

For real-time crime updates, follow the Town of Cary’s Safety account on Twitter @TOC_Safety.
