CARY ISSUES REMINDERS IN ADVANCE OF POSSIBLE WEEKEND WINTER WEATHER
As the A-Team Snow Fighters reload and finalize plans for attacking possible weekend winter weather, the Town of Cary reminds citizens to subscribe now to our free email service for updates on winter weather closings by clicking on the green envelope for “Email Alerts” under More News at www.townofcary.org. The Town typically issues news releases throughout winter storms each morning, afternoon and evening.
For C-Tran updates, riders are encouraged to call C-Tran directly at (919) 481-2020. For Town parks, recreation, and cultural activities and facility updates, call the facility in which the program is being held or (919) 469-4061.
During severe weather, monitor road conditions 24/7 via the Town’s traffic camera system by visiting the wink traffic camera section of the Web site or tuning in to Cary TV 11 on Time Warner Cable Channel 11 or AT&T U-verse Channel 99.
Cary’s A-Team treats/clears thoroughfares first followed by primary roads in subdivisions, then through-streets in subdivisions and then cul-de-sacs. The Town does not clear private parking lots, including those in apartment and condominium complexes or at businesses.
All Town of Cary facilitates and activities are currently on regular schedule for this weekend.
The next release for this predicted event will be issued when/if snow/ice/freezing rain arrives in Cary.
