TRAFFIC ALERT

On Monday, May 11 beginning at 9 a.m., the Town of Cary will shift traffic on Kildaire Farm Road onto the newly-constructed section between Penny Road and Ten Ten Road .  The shift is necessary as part of the Kildaire Farm Road Widening Project that is expected to be complete in July 2009.

From Monday, May 11 through Friday, May 15, 2009 , motorists on Southwest Cary Parkway between Kildaire Farm Road and Lake Pine Drive can expect daily lane closures between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.   At least one lane of traffic will remain open in each direction. Traffic will be restored to the normal pattern on eastbound Southwest Cary Parkway at the end of each workday.  

Also on Monday, May 11 through Saturday, May 16, 2009 , the following changes will occur on Southeast Cary Parkway from Lochside Drive to Eclipse Drive between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. :

• Southeast Cary Parkway traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction from Lochside Drive to Eclipse Drive and traffic will be placed on one side of Southeast Cary Parkway in a two-lane, two-way pattern along the section.  At the end of each workday, one lane will remain closed in each direction.

• Left turns into and out of Lochside Drive and Eclipse Drive will be restricted with flaggers assisting traffic into and out of these streets.  At the end of each workday, traffic will restored to the normal pattern.

• Traffic on Lochmere Drive at Southeast Cary Parkway will be reduced to one lane in each direction.  Flaggers and uniformed police officers will direct Lochmere Drive and Cary Parkway traffic through the intersection.  At the end of each workday, traffic will be restored to the normal pattern.

The work on Southwest and Southeast Cary Parkway are necessary as part of the Cary Parkway Pavement Rehabilitation Project.
