TRAFFIC ALERT

Several east bound lanes of Cary Parkway between US 1 and Tryon Road will be closed this morning as crews replace the power pole and lines, which were taken down by an early morning, single vehicle crash.  Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area since delays are expected. Power to thousands of homes and businesses in the area may be affect throughout the day since the work could take as much as eight hours.   There were no serious injuries from the crash.
