C. Young Community Center, 101 Wilkinson Ave. at 7:30 p.m. and a free, outdoor
concert by the SAS Showchoir, Vocal Motion, on Sunday, May 3, 2009, at the
Sertoma Amphitheatre at Bond Park, 801 High House Road, at 3 p.m.
Tickets are still available for the Rusty Evans show for $18 (adults)
and $16 (seniors 55 and older) at the Community

also available at the door. Also,
guests can purchase the Friends & Family Four Pack for $50, which includes
four tickets, good for all ages for one individual concert.
With
a voice like rolling thunder and a spirit like gentle rain, Rusty brings the
true presence of Johnny Cash. Driving rhythms on his amplifies acoustic Martin
guitar are augmented by his energetic three piece band, Ring of Fire. Rusty’s
son Danny plays a hot rockin’ lead guitar while the bass and drums create a
powerful pulse that drives folks right to the dance floor.
A meeting with Johnny Cash strongly influenced Rusty’s singing and has
shaped the sounds of Ring of Fire.
An
all-volunteer adult show choir sponsored by SAS, VocalMotion has been
entertaining audiences all over the Triangle for the past 17 years.
Its members are employees, spouses and friends of SAS who have a love for
music and dance and are dedicated to bringing quality entertainment to one and
all. They will perform a Broadway-style musical revue that includes a wide
variety of music from pop to country, Billy Joel to Michael Jackson, and
everything in between.
