HEAVY RAINS LEAD TO CLOSINGS AT THREE PARKS IN CARY

Heavy rains earlier today have led to the following closings:

• The picnic shelter and Kids Together Playground at Marla Dorrel Park , 111 Thurston Drive , will be closed through Friday, June 19.

• MacDonald Woods Park , 1601 Seabrook Avenue , will be closed through June 19.

• The Boathouse at Bond Park, 801 High House Road , will not be renting boats until the lake has returned to normal levels.  Participants are encouraged to call (919) 469-4100 for an update on boat rentals.

Citizens should also use caution when using Town greenways.

Athletic program participants are reminded to call 24-Hour Town Hall at (919) 319-4500, extension 505 for program cancellations. Citizens can call the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resource office at (919) 469-4061 with questions regarding other programs or facilities.
