CARY’S A-TEAM ON STANDBY AS WINTRY WEATHER MOVES ACROSS THE STATE

CARY, NC – Snow has fallen in parts of the Triangle, and so far, Cary has missed the brunt of the storm; crews remain on standby and are prepared to respond should inclement weather impact Cary’s roads. There have been no storm-related traffic accidents reported thus far in Cary.

“The roads appear to be in good condition thus far, and should weather conditions change we are ready to respond,” said Town of Cary Public Works Director Mike Bajorek.

The A-Team clears thoroughfares, primary roads in subdivisions, followed by through-streets in subdivisions and then cul-de-sacs.  The Town does not clear private parking lots, including those in apartment and condominium complexes or at businesses.

On Tuesday, Town crews applied brine throughout North Carolina’s seventh largest community.  The Town has 57 pieces of snow fighting equipment available to clear Cary’s 450 miles of roads, 100 miles of which are state-maintained roads.
