Cary Players presents A Midsummer Night’s Dream

“Lord, what fools these mortals be!” Bond Park is the perfect outdoor setting for this classic Shakespearean romantic comedy. Frolic with Oberon (the King of the Fairies) in the enchanted woods, with impish Puck, Bottom, and “the stuff that dreams are made of...”! Remember, “the course of true love never did run smooth”. This 21st Cary Players production, directed by Nancy Rich, runs October 8-10 at 7:30 p.m.

Cary Mayor & Former All-Conference Player Tennis Match - NR

In the spirit of the infamous match between Bobby Riggs and Billie Jean King, the Town of Cary is presenting its own “Battle of the Sexes” on Saturday, October 10 when Cary Mayor Harold Weinbrecht takes on former All-Conference player Kristen James at the Cary Tennis Park at noon; the match is being held to promote Cary’s Champions Ladder, a new division in the Challenge Ladder program that enables men and women to compete for the “best of the best” in one league, instead of playing in separate leagues.

Eid, Festival of Feast, marks the end of the fasting month of Ramadan. Over six million US Muslims celebrate Eid along with 1.2 billion people around the world in over 100 countries. This festival will feature a bazaar, food, music, arts and dance from all over the world. This particular Eid Festival is all about integrating communities of various faiths, beliefs and practices, by embracing their cultural heritage of holiday celebrations. The NC Eid Festival is co-sponsored by the NC Eid Festival, Inc. and the Town of Cary Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources Department.
