There is so much about Cary to celebrate. On September 19th the Cary Community Foundation and the Town of Cary are bringing many of the wonderful groups together that make Cary one of the "Best Places to Live." We are inviting you to join us for your family destination event. Here is a sample of Cary's sunset celebration.
Entertainment: Cary has an abundance of talent. We are inviting many of the talented artists to perform including dancers, musicians, singers and other entertainers. If you or your group would like the opportunity to perform please use the contact information below to request an application.
Activities for Children: Cary companies and nonprofit organizations will be providing a wide variety of youth activities. These will be fun, family oriented and FREE. Possibilities include: Balloon Art, Hat design Contest, Nature walk, Planet Earth - SAVE IT, Seed Planting, Chalk the Walk, Self Portraits, Face Painting, Tumbling, MAKE IT & TAKE IT Crafts, Kids Fitness Testing, Hair Braiding/Beading, Child Identification and Story Time. Non-Profit Exhibits: The Cary Community Foundation strives to facilitate the success of Non-Profits in our town. Non - Profit Organizations (501c3) are invited to have an exhibit at Celebrate Cary at Sunset so the community may learn more about their mission, how they contribute to the community and ways to get involved. If your group would like the opportunity to share information about your non-profit please use the contact information below to request an application. This event provides a wonderful opportunity for volunteer recruitment!
Athletic Events: Cary is one of North Carolina's most active towns gaining recognition as a "Fit Community." Any celebration of Cary would not be complete without a family fitness event and Celebrate Cary at Sunset has two! For families who enjoy short distances they can participate in the CARY 7000. This event sounds long and fast but it is not. Circling Symphony Lake is 7000 feet or about 1.25 mile. Go easy or go hard but get up and GO! Following the CARY 7000 is the Cary Sunset 5K. Both events are designed for participants of all skill levels and for anyone who is looking for a good time on the move. For entry information please use the contact information below.
PLUS admission is FREE to the public for the amphitheater entertainment, Kids Town and exhibit area.
