CARY CITIZENS INVITED TO COMMENT ON PREFERRED OPTION FOR THE WALKER STREET EXTENSION

As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance downtown Cary, the Town of Cary is hosting a community workshop for the Walker Street Extension Project on Tuesday, November 10 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Cary Town Hall, 316 N. Academy St. Citizens will have an opportunity to review and comment on the Town’s preferred option for roadway design for the project. Staff will also provide an update on the next steps for planning and design. The nearly $15 million project includes extending Walker Street 1,200 feet from its current end at Cedar Street northwards to Chapel Hill Road, installation of a grade-separated railroad crossing and realignment of cross streets.
