BRING THE KIDS TO CARY’S BOND PARK TO LEARN HOW NOT TO BURN DURING NATIONAL FIRE PREVENTION WEEK EVENT

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
September 10, 2009

Safety Day is back again this year at Cary’s Bond Park, 801 High House Road, and if last year's celebration is any indication, the day promises to be lots of free fun! On Saturday, October 3 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., Town of Cary Fire personnel will be on hand showing off a variety of Cary's fire apparatus. Other safety agencies including Safe Kid’s Coalition, the Town’s Police Department, CERT Team, Cary EMS and The Town’s Inspections and Permits Department will be available to issue kid's id's and provide valuable safety information for your family. Barring an emergency or any unforeseen circumstances, Carolina Air Care's helicopter is scheduled to drop in for a visit. From 11 a.m. until 3 p.m., kid’s can take their turn in the Kid’s Combat Challenge, and other games and educational activities to help promote this year’s theme – “Stay Fire Smart! Don’t Get Burned”. For more, visit the Fire Department section of the Town’s Web site at www.townofcary.org.
