Town of Cary Trucks to Hit the Roads during Winter Weather Prep Drills, Including Snow Rodeo
CARY, NC – As the temps begin to drop, the Town of Cary’s A-team is readying for whatever woes wintry weather will bring its way during its annual Winter Weather Training and Snow Rodeo on Wednesday, October 22, 2008, beginning at 8 a.m. at the Operations Center for Public Works and Utilities, 400 James Jackson Ave., followed by the snow “rodeo” at the USA Baseball National Training Complex, 200 Brooks Park Lane, from 10:45 until 11:30 a.m. As part of the day’s activities, crews will drive fully-equipped Town trucks throughout
To prep for the rodeo, Town crews will begin mounting spreaders and plows and taking inventory of snow and inclement weather equipment on
“We look forward to this event as it gives our staff the opportunity to re-familiarize themselves with snow plowing routes, equipment and methods. Our goal is to continue to provide the highest quality service should snow or ice become an issue,” said Public Works Director Mike Bajorek.
The training and snow rodeo are not open to the public.
