Join Cary for the 2008 Kwanzaa Celebration

The 2008 Kwanzaa celebration kicks off on Saturday, December 27 at the Herb Young Community Center , 101 Wilkinson Ave. , from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. The free event will feature guest speaker Bernard Alonzo Bowen Sr., a standout athlete in basketball, football and baseball. Also performances will include: African drumming and storytelling by Charles (Wsir) Johnson; the duet of Salima Thomas and Clint Wilson; models from European Modeling & Fashion Institute; the comedy of Pat Lambe; African dancing by Collage Dance Group and the Third Rail Band.
