Cary Police Clear 13 Vandalism Cases with Arrests of Trio

CARY, NC – Cary Police have arrested three suspects who are linked to 13 vandalisms that occurred in the area near Kildaire Farm Road and Cary Parkway, including the most recent incident on Sunday, September 14 in which the suspects shot at an unoccupied vehicle.  The following suspects were arrested on Monday, September 15, 2008 , and charged with Vandalism and Discharging a Firearm within City Limits:

 

  • Cody Campbell, 20, 1326 Takeaway Place, Morrisville

  • Justin Fenske, 21, 5321 Creekridge Lane, Raleigh

  • Daniel Harvey, 20, 303 W. Johnson St., Cary

Campbell was also charged with Resist Public Officer.  


On Sunday, September 14, Police were called to 119 Climbing Ivy Court after witnesses saw the suspects shooting at an unoccupied vehicle.  Using the description that witnesses provided, Police were able to locate a gray SUV with the three suspects inside at the McDonald’s at Kildaire Farm Road and High Meadow Drive .  A pellet rifle and a spot light were recovered from the suspects’ vehicle at the time of arrest.

 

Police believe the suspects’ arrest may help clear cases that have affected as many as 20 victims.  In each of the incidences, the suspects used a pellet rifle to break car windows and damage car doors.

 

“Thanks to the vigilance and continued help of our citizens, we were able to locate and arrest these suspects,” said Sergeant Randy Byrd.
