CARY WOMAN REUNITED WITH STOLEN PUPPY
CARY,
NC
– “LuLu,”
the female Golden Retriever puppy stolen during a home burglary on East Cornwall
Road in Cary on January 14, 2008, has been returned to her owner. The owner,
Andrea Sexton, was reunited with LuLu on January 24, 2008 after receiving a
phone call from a woman who said the dog she had been given as a gift looked
like the one Sexton was missing.
According to the Cary Police Department, the caller
known as “Betty” said her sister bought the puppy from a man at a gas
station in Angier, N.C. for $50. Betty reportedly said she found Sexton’s
phone number on a flier posted in a business. Sexton visited “Betty” and
determined that the puppy was LuLu.
The other property taken from the house on
January 14 - including jewelry, a Gateway laptop computer, and an Olympus
digital camera - has not been recovered. Police are hoping this information will
open new leads in the investigation.
