Cary Police Investigate Suspicious Death

CARY , NC The Town of Cary Police Department seeks your help in solving the suspicious death of Maria Teresa Herrera-Diaz, 29, of 102 Dunhagan Place in Cary , whose body was discovered by her roommates this morning.  Police are not calling the suspicious death a murder.

 

Police are asking for help in locating her common law husband, Arnulfo Barron Cobos, who stole a silver 2004 Saturn L-300 with North Carolina license plate number, XWT-5469, from the residence between 4:15 a.m. and 5:15 a.m. today.  A vehicle similar to the stolen vehicle is pictured here.  Cobos did not report to work today and his whereabouts are unknown.

 

Cobos is described as a Hispanic male, about 50 years old, 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 7 inches tall, and 200 pounds.  Also, he now has a goatee.

 

“The Police Department is actively investigating this very sad and suspicious situation,” said Police Chief Pat Bazemore.  “Our thoughts are with Maria’s family and friends as they deal with this tragic time in their lives.”
