ARMED ROBBERS HIT CARY BANK

Durham stolen vehicle involved in getaway

 

CARY , NC The Town of Cary Police Department is asking for your help in apprehending suspects involved in the armed robbery of the First Citizens Bank at 2205 Evans Road just before 10 a.m. today.  One suspect is a black male wearing a ski mask, blue pants, a camouflage jacket, black shoes and gloves; he was carrying a shotgun. A second black male was wearing blue jeans, a heavy flannel shirt, a black hooded sweatshirt underneath the flannel shirt, gloves and a multi colored mask. The men got away with an undisclosed amount of money; no one was hurt in the incident.

 

Police believe the suspects fled the scene in a 2008 Nissan stolen in a carjacking on Saturday in Durham.  The suspects appear to have abandoned the Nissan a few blocks away from the bank shortly after the robbery; the car is being reunited with its owner.
