CARY OFFERS CITIZENS RESOURCES FOR EVALUATING NEW PROPERTY VALUES

With Cary citizens now receiving their new property values following the Wake County Revenue Department’s reassessment, the Town of   Cary is pleased to offer a Revaluation section of the Town’s Web site at www.townofcary.org to provide information on new property values and tax bills.  Citizens are reminded that the new property values do not go into effect until July 1, 2008 , so the new value should not be multiplied by the current tax rate.  Wake County and the Cary Town Council set their new tax rates each year to go into effect the following July, and property owners will receive a tax bill based on the new rate and value in July 2008.
