BILL LESLIE & LORICA TO PERFORM AT SERTOMA AMPHITHEATRE THIS WEEKEND

 

CARY , NC Celtic sounds blended with a little New Age, Jazz and Folk music will fill the air when local songster, songwriter and anchor Bill Leslie performs with Lorica – an instrumental band – at Cary ’s Sertoma Amphitheatre in Bond Park, 801 High House Road , on Sunday, April 22.  The free concert kicks off at 3 p.m. as part of the Town’s Annual Spring Sertoma Concert Series that features the best in free, live, outdoor entertainment.

 

“We’re pleased to welcome Bill Leslie and Lorica to the Sertoma stage for the first time,” said Performing Arts Coordinator Sarah Bunch.  “Everyone is invited to enjoy the serene and beautiful atmosphere of the Amphitheatre while enjoying in the enchanting melodies of this multitalented group.”

 

A celebration of the natural beauty of North Carolina , Leslie’s CDs have soared to number one on music charts around the world, including his albums “Peaceful Journey”, “Christmas in Carolina ” and “I am a River”.  He also played on and helped produce two albums – “Grace in Stone” and “The Hunt” – as part of a Celtic fusion band he co-founded.  Today, he performs with the group Lorica that is comprised of violinist Sherry Lattin, flutist Linda Metz, pianist Marty Suttle Long and percussionist Stephen Levitin.

      

Guests are invited to return to the Amphitheatre for the following remaining Spring Concert Series performances – Cary Town Band on May 18, Bluegrass & BBQ on June 9, Triangle Wind Ensemble on June 10, and Circus Day featuring Flow Circus on June 23.
