’S BOND PARK FOR ANNUAL EASTER EGG
HUNT ON FRIDAY
CARY, NC – Thousands
of tiny feet will cover the grounds of Cary’s Fred G. Bond Metro
Park, 801 High House Road, on Friday, April 6 for the 16th
Annual Easter Egg Hunt; the morning hunt begins at 10 a.m. followed by a second
one at 1:30 p.m. More than 20,000 plastic eggs and nearly 1,000 pounds of
candy are expected to be scooped up by children ages 10 and younger during the
free egg hunts. Other featured
attractions include the Easter bunny, a live magic and comedy show, along with
food vendors and exhilarating rides.
The hunts will occur in 15-minute increments in
the morning and afternoon.
First, ages 3 and younger will begin
their hunt on Field #2, and ages 4-6 will follow on Field #3.
Lastly, the egg hunt for ages 7-10 will take place on the multipurpose
field adjacent to
“We’re inviting all Triangle-area kids and parents
out for this memorable, fun-filled event,” said Bond Park Supervisor Bill
Eucker. “Children will surely be captivated by the colorful sites and
thrilling sounds at the park, and parents can share in the joy the hunt brings
each year.”
As part of this year’s event, there will be an
appearance by the Easter bunny, along with other furry friends including McGruff
the crime dog, Harry the dragon, and Pluggie the talking fire hydrant.
The entertainment continues with Tim Dumas Entertainment.
Dumas has been making children and adults around the world laugh for
more than 20 years with his international act, and he will share his
high-energy, interactive magic and comedy with little “hunters” throughout
the day.
Eucker added that the Cary Fire Department will
showcase one of their trucks during the day.
Additionally, miniature train rides will be available for participants
for a fee, along with inflatable rides.
