dads prepare to boogie down with their daughters at annual VALENTINE’S dance in CARY

Four generations of one family to dance the night away

CARY, NC – Local dads will show their daughters that father knows best – the best dance moves, that is – at the Town of Cary’s Daddy-Daughter Dance on Saturday, February 10, 7-10 p.m. at the Cary Senior Center , 120 Maury O’Dell Place , in Bond Park.  Each year, the Town hosts the event to provide a fun-filled evening for fathers and their daughters, ages 4-12, to create lasting memories.

In addition to music and refreshments, photographs of the couples will be taken beginning at 6 p.m.   A complimentary photograph will be given to participating daughters.

“This annual event is a great way for area dads and even granddads to share good times with their daughters as part of Valentine’s Day weekend,” said event organizer and Assistant Community Center Supervisor Julie Luecht.  “In fact, this year’s dance will be even more special with at least four generations participating from one family.  It’s still not too late for daddy-daughter couples to sign up, but you’d better hurry.”  Registration is limited to the first 250 individuals.

Pre-registration is recommended by mail or in person at any Town of Cary Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Resources staffed facility.  The cost is $17/person for Cary residents and $22/person for non-residents.

Also, the Town will host a Mother’s Day Ball on May 12, 2007 at the Cary Senior Center in Cary.
