BACKGROUND:
On February 8, 2007, the Cary Town Council voted to appoint Erv Portman to fill the unexpired At-Large Council seat vacated in July 2006 by Michael Joyce. Erv Portman of 101 Fern Bluff Way has been a Cary resident since 1992 and has held several Council appointments including to the Town’s Planning and Zoning Board, Town Center Review Commission, and the Mayor’s Task Force on School Assignment. Portman was one of 37 Cary citizens who submitted Statements of Interest and Qualifications to the Council to fill the seventh Council slot. Learn more about Erv Portman at www.townofcary.org.
