CARY,
NC –Cary Police are asking for your help in identifying a suspect
that attempted to rob a Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) delivery man while he was
delivering to the KFC at 1011 N. Harrison Ave. on Tuesday, January 23 shortly
after 6 a.m. The victim, Michael
Smith of Lincolnton, pulled his delivery truck into the KFC, entered the
business, and upon exiting, he noticed a vehicle parked in the parking lot near
a trash bin. The suspect exited the vehicle and approached Smith; the suspect
brandished a knife and lunged towards Smith, cutting him on his upper right
thigh. The suspect then fled the
area in a white two-door vehicle, and the victim contacted the police.
Nothing was stolen from the victim.
The
suspect is described as a black male, 23-30 years old, 6 feet 1 inches-6 feet 3
inches tall, 210-230 pounds with a medium brown complexion.
He was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt, blue jeans, white baseball
cap, white sweat shirt and blue jeans.
“We
are asking anyone with information related to this crime to contact us
immediately,” said Sergeant Randy Byrd.
Crime
Stoppers will pay up to $2,500 for the arrest or indictment of those responsible
for committing certain types of crimes. If
