SHOW YOUR AMERICAN PRIDE DURING CARY ’S INDEPENDENCE DAY FESTIVITIES

Get an early start on your celebration at the Sertoma Amphitheatre in Fred G. Bond Metro Park, 801 High House Road in Cary on Tuesday, July 3, beginning at 6:30 p.m. when Applause! Cary Youth Theatre performs “Faces of Freedom” followed by a performance by the Cary Town Band.  Then, return to the park on the fourth of July for more frills and thrills during the Independence Day Olde Time Celebration, beginning at 8 a.m. This year’s celebration features a fishing tournament, “Parade in the Park”, eating contests and water games galore! The excitement continues later that evening at Booth Amphitheatre, 8003 Regency Parkway, when the North Carolina Symphony takes the stage at 7:30 p.m. followed by the Triangle’s largest fireworks display.  And the fun doesn’t end on Independence Day.  Ice cream lovers ages 55 and older are invited to cool down at the Cary Senior Center Ballroom on Thursday, July 5 from 2 until 4 p.m.  All events are free.  For more, visit the Independence Day events page at www.townofcary.org.
