TOWN OF CARY ’S CHECKING ITS LISTS IN PREPARATION FOR HOLIDAY CELEBRATIONS

 

Spend the day in Cary as we kickoff the Heart of the Holidays celebration on Sat., Dec. 1, beginning at 10 a.m. !  Everyone is invited to participate in the free festivities that include the Official Town of Cary Tree Lighting featuring the Cary Town Band! Also, don’t miss Santa’s Workshop for the little ones, Heart of Cary Association’s Ole Time Festival, and the Page-Walker Arts & History Center Open House.  The day’s festivities will end with a holiday concert by the Triangle Wind Ensemble; tickets are $10 (adults) and $3 (students).  For a complete schedule and more, visit Heart of the Holidays at www.townofcary.org, or call (919) 469-4061.

 

The holiday fun continues with the Cary Players’ performance of “A Christmas Story” on Dec. 7-9 and Dec. 14-16!  Tickets are $12 (adults), $10 (seniors 55+ and students with ID) and $8 (children 12 and under); tickets at the door are $12.  Also for the first time ever, the Marvelous Music Series will include a holiday concert by Chestnut Brass, the Grammy award winning quartet!  Tickets are $18 (adults), $16 (seniors 55+ and students with ID) and $15 (children 12 and under).  Tickets to both events are available at the Herb Young Community Center , Mon.-Fri., noon-6 p.m. or by contacting Ticketmaster at www.ticketmaster.com or (919) 834-4000.
