Strategic
Implementation Plan to help prepare for Town’s future parking needs
CARY,
NC – To continue to make the best use of the Town’s existing resources and
provide better parking services for the community, the Town of Cary is inviting all citizens to a kick-off meeting to
discuss the Downtown Cary Parking Strategic Implementation Plan on Tuesday,
August 28 at the Herb Young Community Center, 101 Wilkinson Ave., 6:30 p.m.-8:30
p.m. The parking plan is being
developed to create a comprehensive parking strategy that will guide downtown
public and private parking decisions.
The
plan will consider issues related to the management of the existing supply of
parking, as well as a strategy for future needs, which will likely incorporate a
combination of on-street and structured parking facilities.
The plan will take into consideration the parking recommendations of
earlier plans and studies, including the Town Center Area Plan (2001), The
Downtown Cary Streetscape Master Plan (2006) and the Town Center Civic and
Cultural Arts Study (2006); and will examine current parking policies. This
