THE COOLEST HOLIDAY EVENT IS RETURNING TO CARY ’S BOOTH AMPHITHEATRE AND PROMISES TO BE “SLICKER” THAN EVER!

    Cary , NC – Triangle residents have made Tinsel Town , sponsored in part by WakeMed Hospital , the premier hometown holiday event and Cary ’s Booth Amphitheatre is pleased to announce that the real outdoor ice-skating rink you have come to love is back for a second season!

     From November 23 to December 31, Booth Amphitheatre will once again be transformed in to a magical winter wonderland complete with beautifully decorated trees by area civic organizations, holiday music, hot drinks, Soups in Great Harvest Bread Bowls and a 50 x 70 ice-skating rink. While the event will be open daily for skating, weekends will also include FREE visits with Santa.

     Booth Amphitheatre officials were overwhelmed with the positive response Tinsel Town received last year and stated that the decision to bring back the ice rink was not hard. “We had so many families who e-mailed and called saying that Tinsel Town was their favorite activity during the holiday season. There is simply not another experience like this one for hundreds of miles and we know with the popularity we experienced last year the event will only continue to grow”, says Booth Amphitheatre General Manager Becky Schmidt. “We’ve always taken great pride in the fact that Booth Amphitheatre is second to none in the region as far as setting and what better way to show the versatility of this venue than by allowing families to skate on an authentic outdoor ice rink!”

     Tinsel Town will be open daily. Hours of operation are as follows: November 23 – December 31. Monday – Thursday, 4 – 9 p.m., Friday, 4 – 10 p.m., Saturday, 2 – 10 p.m. and Sunday, Noon – 6 p.m. Admission prices are as follows: Kids (ages 3-12), $4/Mon.-Thurs., $6/Fri. – Sun., Adults (13 and up), $6/Mon. – Thurs., $8 (Fri. – Sun.) Kids under 2 are FREE. Admission price does not include skate rental of $2 per person. Tinsel Town is closed on Christmas Day.
